The Recyclable Materials Management Plant of Elefsina is one of the main industrial facilities of the Hellenic Recovery Recycling Corporation (HERRCO) and is responsible for the management of the recyclable materials that we put in the well-known "blue" bins. An industrial heavy duty misting system has been installed within the plant to combat suspended microbes and remove unpleasant odours, the maintenance of which was successfully carried out by ANDRIANOS.
The industrial-type misting system consists of the central high-pressure pump, the piping network and the spray nozzles in all areas of the plant.
For the proper operation of the system and to achieve high energy savings, regular annual maintenance is necessary, including chemical cleaning with dynamic washing of the entire network, complete checking of the piping and nozzles and adjustment of the pump operating parameters.
The expert technicians of ANDRIANOS misting systems visited the Recyclable Materials Management Plant of Elefsina and successfully completed, once again, all the above regular maintenance works. They checked all parts of the system for damages and failures, made appropriate repairs or adjustments and then applied in-depth chemical cleaning to combat salts and other deposits.
As a result of the above actions, the industrial misting system works without problems, with increased economy and safety. It performs even better, by eliminating microbes and dust, while at the same time increasing the efficiency of the workforce, as it significantly reduces the temperature inside the industrial plant during these difficult summer months.
One more time, both the usefulness of misting systems in industrial installations and the excellence of this particular misting installation were proven, thanks to the correct choice of materials and components as well as the excellent technical training of ANDRIANOS technicians.
