The Quarry of Aggregate Materials, owned by the engineering company ALEXANDROS S.A. in Komotini, was facing a serious problem with the dust created by the processing of materials. The certified experts of ANDRIANOS visited the quarry facilities, studied the existing situation and proposed the installation of a specialized misting system for the effective suppression of dust.

The operation of the quarry involves the process of aggregates for the production of quarry products (sand, gravel, ballast, railway ballast, etc.). In many phases of the processing of the materials, large quantities of dust are generated, causing, due to the weather conditions (temperature/wind), unpleasant conditions for both the workers and the surrounding area.

They decided to install two stand-alone high-pressure industrial misting systems that would cover the dust generation areas entirely. The heavy-duty industrial pumps and industrial fans of the installed misting systems, together with the correct design and installation of the special high-pressure water curtains, provided the desired solution with complete success.
